All you need to know about entering and playing in the Energia 7s Tournament !

7’s Rugby – Teams of 12 players + 1 Coach

TAG Rugby – Teams of players inc. a minimum of 3 women.

7’s Rugby – Each team will play a minimum of 4 games in pool stages.

TAG Rugby – Each team will play a minimum of 4 games in pool stages.

Full Price Registration from Tuesday 1st February 2022

Early Bird – Men & Women’s 7’s registration is €650.00 for a team of 12 players + 1 Coach.
Early Bird – TAG registration is €600.00 for a team of 10 + option to add players for €65 per extra player.

 

Full Price Registration from Tuesday 1st February 2022:

Men & Women’s 7’s registration is €750.00 for a team of 12 players + 1 Coach.
TAG registration is €700.00 for a team of 10 + option to add players for €75 per extra player.

Anyone can register a team and play – All players must have a valid players weekend ticket.

7’s Rugby – All 7s rugby games will be played according IRFU Laws.

TAG Rugby – All TAG Rugby Games will be played according to the IRFU Tag Rugby Laws shown here: IRFU-Tag-Laws-2021

For both 7’s Rugby and TAG Rugby we are working with the IRFU who provide all referee provisions over the weekend.

7’s Rugby – All matches will be 7 minutes each way.

TAG Rugby – Matches are 16 minutes in total played in 20 minute slots.

7’s Rugby – All matches will be played on pitch 1 or 2, in Energia Park, Donnybrook

TAG Rugby – All matches will be played on the pitches, in Herbert Park. Except for the Final that will be played on pitch 1 in Energia Park, Donnybrook, on the Sunday.

No, players can only play with one team for each competition.

Due to the amount of teams which are participating at the festival, turn-around times are very quick. If you are late, this will result in a forfeit (loss) as this will effect the days schedule.

Yes, for both 7’s Rugby and TAG Rugby, teams are encourage to  wear some fancy dress items as long as it is safe to play in and your team kit is still clearly visible.

Energia 7’s will be compliant with government guidelines and regulations at the time of the event.

Players should understand, acknowledge and accept that there are risks of injury (including serious injury) and death in the course of playing and training for all sports including 7’s and tag rugby and the player voluntarily accepts such risk of injury or death.

It is the player’s individual responsibility that they have adequate insurance in place to take part in the tournament.
